If you understand deep south heritage you will understand our love of pound cake. This rich treat is the only dessert you'll need. Served with ice cream or the topping of your choice, you will fall in love with our pound cakes southern goodness.
3 Sticks Butter
3 Cups Sugar
3 Cups Flour
2 Tablespoons Vanilla Pure Extract
1 Tablespoon Lemon Pure Extract
Eggs and butter should be left overnight at room temperature. When ready to begin mixing, sift flour and set aside. The more flour is sifted the lighter the texture of the cake will be. Place butter in mixing bowl, adding sugar one cup at a time until fully mixed. Next add eggs to batter one at a time and blend 3 to 4 minutes as each is added. Add flour one cup at a time in small portions until fully mixed. Add extract as desired for taste, but follow instructions for our cake.
Choose bundt or deesired cake pan and spray with Pam Baking Spray with Flour. Put cake batter in pan of choice and place cake oven on a cookie sheet in the center of the oven. Do not preheat oven. Cook cake at 325 degree for 1 hour 25 minutes, but time may vary by oven. Once fully cooked allow cake to cool. Once cool, remove from pan and place on desired presentation dish.
